Super Bowl food - Desi style




 Mirchi Bajji, Spicy Peanuts, Chicken 65 and Pepper Chicken


Chicken 65

INGREDIENTS

1.         500 gms chicken
2.         3 tsp Red chili powder For the marinade
3.         1/4 tsp cumin powder For the marinade
4.         1/2 tsp coriander powder For the marinade
5.         1 tsp Ginger garlic paste For the marinade
6.         Pinch of Turmeric powder For the marinade
7.         2 tsp corn flour For the marinade
8.         3/4 tsp Rice flour  For the marinade
9.         1/4 tsp Red Food Color For the marinade
10.       1 tbsp. Lemon juice For the marinade
11.       Salt to taste
12.       1 egg
13.       3-4 tbsp. oil
14.       2 Green chilies
15.       Curry leaves
16.       1 tsp cumin seeds
17.       100 gm Curd
18.       3 tbsp. chopped coriander (dhania)

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Mix all the ingredients for the marinade well. Add the chicken and mix well, allow it to rest for about half an hour to an hour.
2. Heat up oil in a pan for deep frying the chicken. Add the chicken pieces and fry them in batches. Fry the chicken till golden brown.
3.  For the final touches: Add 3-4 spoons of oil in a pan. Add the curry leaves, cumin seeds, green chilies
4.  Add the fried chicken to the pan and saute for a minute. Now add the curd and saute for another 1-2 minutes.






Pepper Chicken

INGREDIENTS
1.   500 gms chicken
2.   3 tsp Red chilli powder for the marinade
3.   1/4 tsp cumin powder for the marinade
4.   1/2 tsp coriander powder for the marinade
5.   1 tsp Ginger garlic paste for the marinade
6.   Pinch of Turmeric powder for the marinade
7.   2 tsp cornflour for the marinade
8.   3/4 tsp Rice flour for the marinade
9.   1/4 tsp Red Food Color for the marinade
10. 1 tbsp. Lemon juice for the marinade
11. Salt to taste
12. 1 egg
13. 3-4 tbsp. oil
14.  2 Green chili deseeded
15. Curry leaves
16. Crushed fresh pepper

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Mix all the ingredients for the marinade well. Add the chicken and mix well, allow it to rest for about half an hour to an hour.
2. Heat up oil in a pan for deep frying the chicken. Add the chicken pieces and fry them in batches. Fry the chicken till golden brown.

4. Add the fried chicken to the pan and sauté for a minute



Spicy Peanuts

INGREDIENTS

1.         One pack roasted salted peanuts
2.         Diced onion – 1 onion
3.         Red Chillie powder
4.         Green chillies – 3
5.         Salt to taste
6.         Lemon - 1

INSTRUCTIONS

1.                   Mix all the ingredients and let it sit for 15 mins and serve.
